We collect information necessary to provide the Service, including:
- Account information (name, email, login data)
- Resumes, job descriptions, and application materials you provide
- Usage and performance data to improve the Service
- Billing information processed via third-party payment providers

- Maintain security and prevent abuse

4. No Sale of Personal Data
SkillSnap does not sell personal data or user content.

We use industry-standard safeguards and tightly secured cloud infrastructure to protect user information.
6. User Data Control and Deletion
Users may, at any time, access the application's user settings to:
- delete personal data and account information
- set longevity limits on any imported job data
Upon deletion, personal data is removed or anonymized except where retention is required for legal or operational purposes.
7. Data Retention
We retain data only as long as necessary to provide the Service or maintain accounts in good standing. Inactive or unpaid accounts may have associated data removed.
8. Third-Party Services
We use third-party providers for hosting, payments, and analytics. These providers process data only to deliver services on our behalf.
9. User Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, delete, or correct your personal information. You can delete your data at any time through the application's settings/subscription page.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of the Service indicates acceptance of updates.

12. SkillSnap Extension (Browser Extension)
SkillSnap optionally publishes a companion browser extension, the SkillSnap Extension, in the Chrome Web Store and Microsoft Edge Add-ons. The extension is not required to use the Service.
What it accesses. On websites the user visits, the extension observes only which form field currently has keyboard focus, so that the user can click a value in its side panel to insert it. It does not read, scrape, or transmit other page content. The broad host permission requested at install time exists solely so this fill-on-click behavior works on any job-application site.
Where data lives. Resume data is pushed into the extension from app.skillsnap.me when the user clicks Apply on a generated job. The extension stores this data locally on the user's device in browser-managed extension storage. The extension does not transmit data back to SkillSnap servers, to Google, to Microsoft, or to any third party. There is no analytics or telemetry.
Deletion. Users can clear stored extension data at any time via the Clear button in the side panel, or by uninstalling the extension — which removes all locally-stored data automatically.
